In February 2020, the legendary Wainwright & McGarrigle families are coming to Canada with Complainte Pour Catherine, a concert honoring the songs of Kate McGarrigle. They will be bringing the family spectacle to Theatre Maisonneuve in Montreal on February 5th and Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto on February 8th. Circling their energies around their sister, mother, aunt and grandmother, Kate, this distinctive Quebecois gang of extraordinary musicians will gather to acknowledge the 10th anniversary of her death, celebrate her birthday and perform her amazing songbook. Starring her sister and musical partner, Anna McGarrigle, her children, Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Jane McGarrigle, Sylvan and Lily Lanken plus Vinnie Dow and Kathleen Weldon. This is sure to be a memorable musical evening.
