Hi!
I'm not sure anywhere can be classified as inexpensive in Oslo at all.. (or Norway..) but this place http://www.cochspensjonat.no/englishindex.html is supposed to be quite reasonable, and it's right in the middle of town.
This http://eng.haraldsheim.no/ is the youth hostel closest to the centre - you'll have to read up on the prices there. It's not in the town centre, about 4 kms away.
Feel free to message me if you need to find out about anything in particular :)
The place Rufus is playing will have free (unspecified) seating, and about 1,000 seats. We'll be there early...
I resently got back from a long trip and discovered that Rufus gonna play again, and the tickets are all sold out! crisis!! Even though i had the time of my life in december (i was on stage with him) i would really love to see a consert with him without beeing a nervous wrech... anyone with an extra ticket??
I'm coming over from London, it's a birthday surprise for my sister. I booked everything online in a kind of a rush and am now trying to find out a few things... like is our hotel actually anywhere near the Sentrum Scene (we're booked into the Best Western West, for better or worse!) and what is the best way of getting there on the night, ie walking?? Any of you nice Rufus followers able to reassure me?!!
Hi, you can try to contact www.use-it.no (mail@ung.info), they have some affordable room downtown. They've been of very nice help last year for me. Good luck and good gig.
hi :)
Your hotel is at the other end of the town centre -- but admittedely it's not the world's biggest city, so I guess it's about 30 mins. walk from Sentrum Scene. You should be fine walking, there are always people there and you'll be in a "good" neighbourhood - unlike Sentrum scene ;) -- there's the palace, and quite a few embassies around that area which means lights & police watch..
Just send me a message if there's anything you need to know - I've got the same nick on the board :)
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I have now got hold of a street map, it makes more sense to see it in black and white!
Really looking forward to our trip, and of course, the highlight of it (Rufus!).
