Rufus Wainwright

I was just going to e-mail MCT to ask when they would announce this concert, when I see it finally here. Surely it's not a secret????? Yesterday I found out that it's sold out and I haven't seen an advertisement and it's not visible on Mojo's site if you don't look for it very hard. So it' s only thanks to a post by a mysterious newbie that I got my tickets. I am delighted that Rufus is finally coming to Holland after almost two years, but it would have been nice if it had just been on the home page from the beginning (10 May) , with a link to the tickets, so people would have been able to plan their summer (with vacation and other Rufus concerts) better. I hope nobody missed it because of this. The Tour Page on the website of an artist is where you look for tour dates, right?

Oh come on Anemone... if Rufus would read your comment, he'd probably take the listing away again. Although it was strange that it took awhile to be mentioned on the tour date list, I can only say I'm glad they will perform in the Netherlands.

I don't mean to complain at all, it's just that I myself missed the Paradiso and Groningen shows in November 2005 because I kept looking in the paper for Rufus concerts. When I got on the message board after that, it was specifically to find out about future concerts (and to meet othe Rufus fans of course). The Dutch date was one of the last to be announced and it just made me very insecure if it was going to happen at all. Sorry for being a control freak, but I just feel much better now that is has been confirmed, even if I received my tickets a month ago! See you in Groningen yope!

on mojo website it says the concert is sold out.

Does anyone know what band will be support act in Groningen? Is there any structural support, or just no support?

I was too late for tickets last time Rufus was in the Netherlands, but before the concert I went to the entrance of the Stadsschouwburg in Groningen and started asking visitors. I no time we had four tickets! I have to add that the Netherlands was having a big snow storm at the time and a lot of people were stuck in traffic... But what a GREAT concert it was! Martha Wainwright was exceptional as well!

OMG I'm so happy this beautiful talented boy gives a concert in Oosterpoort. He and his songs makes me so happy. First time I head MAKER MAKES I cried. Life's great thanks to Rufus

A superb concert tonight in Groningen! Rufus gave it all, and it showed. A great performance, a fantastic show. I loved it. "The shining gloves, they are like conducting me."

The concert was great, Rufus is not the only genious on stage, the whole band was great!!! By the way, they should forbid glowing sticks. One guy in front of us was waving them (5!)franticly around, during and at the end of each song.. Really annoying during a seated concert..

The concert was incredible, although the sound was somewhat over the top due to bad acoustics in the Oosterpoort. Rufus was singing wonderfully and sometimes you could hear he was only human, but that didn't disappoint me! He is a disarming stage personality, and his music makes you feel intensely alive.

It was great. One of the greatest concerts I ever saw....
