Magic, as ever is Rufus, though I have nostalgia for his longer hair days, and twas magic to behold here in the NJ/NYC area of US...a sit down half way across the world. Never knew day in the life of a DIVA was being composed in French. That devil of a multi-lingual Rufus. Perhaps he will interject politically incorrect, sexually explicit verbiage in the opera more covertly by using Francais. You mean when I go to the MET to see this extravaganza, I will need a translation? Ugh. Imagine GAY MESSIAH in Spanish or RELEASE THE STARS in German. No doubt if Rufus reads this, the next thing we might hear are the above in just such languages. Ach Tung. Time for Rufus to reappear with mom and aunt, and aunt Sloan too, at Newport or Falcon Ridge or solo somewhere to render all those politically envelope pushing tunes Kate pushed him to sing at the tendre age of six.
