In honour of Montreal’s 375th and Canada’s 150th Anniversary, RufusWainwright presents Our Lady of the Harbour: a night celebrating the great tradition of Canadian artists. On August 16 & 17, 2017, Rufus Wainwright will sing an intimate evening of curated songs by Canadian musical icons Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen, among others.
This special evening features the work of Canadian musicians beloved across generations, selected and sung by Wainwright with his own distinct interpretation, inside one of the most beautiful settings of old Montréal, Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours.
The concerts are to benefit the Kate McGarrigle Fund at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) and Cedars Cancer Foundations. Kate herself started the fund in 2008 to fund research into sarcoma, the rare and underfunded cancer that took her life in 2010. In the past 9 years, the Fund has continued to give out valued research grants to candidates – helping to push the needle forward towards a cure.

Le 16 et 17 août 2017, Rufus Wainwright va chanter dans un environnement intime, et va interpréter des morceaux de musique d’icônes canadiennes comme ceux de Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, et plusieurs autres.
Cette soirée spécial va inclure des œuvres de musiciens canadiens adorées par plusieurs générations, choisies et chantées par Wainwright avec son interprétation distincte, dans l’un de plus beaux sites du Vieux-Montréal: la Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours.
Les concerts vont bénéficier les Fonds Kate McGarrigle de la Fondation du Centre universitaire de santé McGill (CUSM) et la Fondation du Cancer des Cèdres. Kate elle-même à créé ce fond en 2008 pour soutenir et avancer la recherche du sarcome, un cancer rare et sous-financé qui lui a pris sa vie en 2010. Au cours des neuf dernières années, les fonds ont continué à fournir des subventions de recherche aux patients dans l’espoir qu’un remède soit trouvé.
